Education & Health Centers of America, Inc. (EHCA) is proud to announce the expansion of the agency’s toll-free 1-800 number services to better support individuals in need of critical resources in the community. In addition to the preexisting Incarcerated Veterans Initiative (IVI) hotline, clients and individuals in the community will now have access to EHCA’s Emergency Rapid Rehousing Assistance Program (ERRA) Reentry Support Specialist and Veteran Resource Program (VRP) Case Manager via distinct toll-free 1-800 hotlines. This enhancement is designed to increase direct lines of communication with EHCA program staff and decrease barriers to service access, ensuring that individuals receive timely and tailored support for their unique challenges.
This expansion reflects EHCA’s ongoing commitment to addressing housing insecurity, reentry service gaps, and supporting at-risk populations in the community. The Emergency Rapid Rehousing Assistance (ERRA) program is dedicated to providing rapid rehousing solutions for individuals reentering society, offering resources such as temporary emergency hotel stays, housing navigation services, and financial assistance for utilities, transportation, essential home furniture, and moving expenses. The new ERRA toll-free hotline will allow individuals in transition from incarceration to access immediate guidance and support from a trained reentry support specialist, significantly reducing barriers to stability and community reintegration.
Similarly, the Veteran Resource Program (VRP) is focused on connecting at-risk veterans with vital gap services, including case management, housing assistance, benefits navigation, mental health referrals, and more! The addition of a direct line to the VRP Case Manager through the new toll-free number underscores EHCA’s pledge to prioritize the expansion of veteran services throughout the state of New Jersey. Through the implementation of the VRP 1-800 hotline, veterans can easily reach experienced professionals who understand veterans’ unique needs and can provide targeted solutions in their communities.
Expanding EHCA’s toll-free hotline services is a critical step in ensuring that our services are accessible to all of the communities we serve. We’re breaking down barriers to accessing comprehensive assistance and reinforcing our mission to provide services to at-risk and under-served populations, including, but not limited to, individuals reentering the community from the criminal justice system, veterans in need, and those dealing with substance use issues.
By centralizing access to these essential programs, EHCA is making it easier for individuals to find the help they need, when they need it most. For more information or to access these services, individuals can call one of EHCA’s targeted toll-free hotlines:
