Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Director plays a critical role in ensuring the successful operation of Education and Health Centers of America, Inc.’s (EHCA) residential treatment facilities and reentry grant initiatives. This position provides quality assurance oversight and support to ensure compliance with agency contracts, state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and EHCA corporate policies. This role focuses on achieving high-quality compliance outcomes, maintaining customer service satisfaction, fostering continuous operational excellence, and supporting the organization’s mission through collaboration.
Supervisory Relationships: The Quality Assurance Director reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
• Conduct independent facility site visits, inspections, and internal audits to assess compliance with organizational policies, New Jersey Department of Corrections (NJDOC) contract obligations, American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) standards, and grant program requirements.
• Monitor and assess EHCA program operations to identify areas for improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of corrective action solutions in collaboration with contracting agencies, subcontractor staff, and key program decision-makers.
• Develop and maintain compliance tools, policies, processes, procedures, and documentation to meet contract deliverables, customer satisfaction, and client needs.
• Analyze and review program incidents, outcome measures, and program management reports to provide actionable feedback and quality assurance solutions.
• Collaborate with EHCA facility directors, subcontractors, and contracting agencies to develop, review, and implement best practices that enhance program effectiveness and compliance, in alignment with organizational policies and agency missions.
• Ensure consistent application of policies, processes, and procedures across all EHCA programs and facilities.
• Provide guidance, training, and technical support to program directors and staff to improve service delivery and compliance outcomes.
• Manage customer service concerns by working directly with the contracting agency, contract monitors, and EHCA program directors to address feedback or challenges.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, including government contract agencies, partner organizations, and clients.
• Collect, analyze, and report on program performance metrics, quality assurance outcomes, and client satisfaction data.
• Assist corporate staff members in obtaining or developing quality assurance documentation, reporting, and related items or tasks, as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned, such as marketing, business development, and recruiting.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality assurance, program management, or compliance in a non-profit or community-based residential reentry setting. Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles in reentry or residential social service programs. Exceptional customer service and stakeholder engagement skills. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences. Strong ethical standards and commitment to upholding organizational values. Proactive and adaptable problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting, using tools such as Microsoft Excel or similar software.
