Education & Health Centers of America, Inc. (EHCA) aligns itself with many valuable community partners, including the New Jersey Department of Corrections (NJDOC). EHCA partners with NJDOC in various ways—including Assessment and Residential Community Reintegration Program (RCRP) contracts and through the Incarcerated Veterans Initiative.
In addition to serving currently and recently incarcerated veterans throughout the state of New Jersey, EHCA’s Incarcerated Veterans Initiative team members also collaborate with NJDOC’s Military Service Liaison Committee, a state-wide committee made up of NJDOC staff members and those who have served in the military, both active and reserve. The NJDOC Military Service Liaison Committee is committed to the support of all military service members throughout the ranks of the NJDOC agency.
EHCA staff participated in NJDOC’s Annual Veterans Day Ceremonies and has aided the NJDOC Military Service Liaison Committee in the development of a mission and vision statement, the facilitation of in-person veteran benefit sessions for NJDOC staff at all of the state prison locations throughout New Jersey, as well as, the introduction of veteran suicide awareness and prevention brochures and materials. Furthermore, EHCA has collaborated with NJDOC to successfully facilitate and manage NJDOC dedicated Career Fairs at local veteran organizations, including American Legion and VFW Post locations, throughout the state.
EHCA’s Director of Veteran Services, Robert Looby, received a Certificate of Appreciation, awarded by NJDOC Commissioner, Victoria Kuhn, at the NJDOC Military Service Liaison Committee’s luncheon, held in November 2023.
All of us here at EHCA look forward to continuing our collaboration with the NJDOC and the NJDOC Military Service Liaison Committee in 2024!
