EHCA’s mission is to provide services to at-risk and under-served populations, including, but not limited to, individuals reentering the community from the criminal justice system, veterans in need, and those dealing with substance use issues. We provide our participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead a productive lifestyle prior to reintegration into their communities.
EHCA’s current programs and services were established with the goal of making treatment programs accessible to criminal justice populations. These programs reduce recidivism through life-skills training, substance abuse treatment, and educational and vocational training that is suited to the specific needs of program participants.

Community Outreach Specialist, Veteran Resource Program
The Community Outreach Specialist will support the Veteran Resource Program by identifying at-risk veterans with unmet needs throughout the state of New Jersey and by fostering connections between at-risk veterans and an array of veteran resources. The Community Outreach Specialist will be responsible for networking and promoting awareness of available Veteran Resource Program services, enhancing engagement within under-served veteran communities, and contributing to the improvement in access to veteran services in New Jersey. This position will assist in the day-to-day operations within the Veteran Resource Program as assigned, including, but not limited to: participant service connection, case management, case follow-up, collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies, development of community partnerships, and reporting on program outcomes. This is a grant-funded position. Continued employment is dependent upon grant funding availability.
